What VELA is

VELA is an expert-consultation matching platform. We help you find a relevant expert and arrange a free diagnosis. Paid engagements are agreed separately between you and the expert; scope, price, delivery and confidentiality are governed by that agreement.

Not professional advice

Expert views and experience sharing do not constitute legal, tax, investment, medical or other regulated professional advice. Consult a licensed professional for those matters.

Booking and cancellation

Submitting a request does not confirm a booking. After reviewing fit, we send the expert’s calendar link by email. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a free diagnosis. Paid engagement cancellation and refund terms are set by the expert.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information and to share only content you have the right to share. Do not submit unlawful, infringing, harassing or malicious material.

Confidentiality

We protect your information with reasonable care. Experts confirm confidentiality arrangements before an engagement. Email and video tools are subject to their providers’ security.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, VELA is not responsible for the business outcomes of expert advice. Our liability is limited to fees you have actually paid to VELA, if any.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Disputes should first be resolved in good faith; otherwise, they are submitted to the competent court in Shanghai.
